Wilderness, Vintage Blazers & Confidence
By Eve, Founder of Project Emerald
This weekend, I’ll be running through Takayna — the breathtaking rainforest many know as the Tarkine — alongside 224 other runners who have collectively raised over $245,000 for the Bob Brown Foundation.
That number stopped me in my tracks.
Two hundred and twenty-five people choosing to move their bodies through ancient wilderness to help protect it.
That’s powerful.
For me, running in Takayna isn’t about pace. It’s about alignment. I’ve realised I’m happiest when I’m moving through nature. It clears my mind. It reconnects me to what matters.
And it reminds me why I started Project Emerald in the first place.
To protect what we love.
To tread lighter.
To make conscious choices that actually add up.
Wilderness & Fashion Might Seem Unrelated — But They’re Not
Protecting Tasmania’s wilderness and reshaping fashion into a circular system come from the same place:
Care. Responsibility. Long-term thinking.
Australia is one of the highest consumers of clothing per person in the world. Millions of garments end up in landfill every year. And yet, we already have an abundance of beautiful pieces in circulation.
If 225 runners can raise a quarter of a million dollars for conservation, imagine what millions of Australians choosing second-hand first could do for fashion waste.
That’s why building a trusted second-hand clothing marketplace in Australia matters to me.
When you buy and sell second-hand clothing, you’re not just saving money or finding something unique. You’re extending the life of a garment. You’re reducing demand for fast production. You’re participating in circular fashion in a very real way.
That’s impact.
Markets, Movement & Magic Pieces
The past few weeks at the Sorell and Launceston markets reminded me why I love stepping out from behind the screen.
There is already so much quality in circulation.
Beautiful fabrics.
Bold tailoring.
Vintage treasures with stories stitched into them.
I found a bold French vintage blazer that I simply couldn’t leave behind. Structured, confident, timeless. It felt like it was waiting for its next chapter.
That’s what Project Emerald is about.
Not just transactions.
Continuation.
Creating a space where women across Australia can buy and sell pre-loved clothing easily — and where quality pieces get the life they deserve.
What Makes a Woman Beautiful?
I've been reflecting what makes a woman beautiful.
It’s not a trend.
It’s not a label.
It’s not a price tag.
It’s confidence.
A woman is most beautiful when she feels confident in her own skin. That confidence shapes how she moves through the world, what she wears, who she attracts, and how she shows up.
When you choose pieces that genuinely reflect you — not what an algorithm told you to buy — that’s authenticity.
And authenticity never goes out of style.
Second-hand fashion gives us the freedom to define our own style. To choose character over conformity. Quality over quantity. Intention over impulse.
Confidence comes from alignment — with your values, your wardrobe, and the kind of world you want to support.

This Week Is About Alignment
Think about taking action to protect what you care about.
Wear clothes that feel like you.
Support systems that make a difference.
Every conscious choice matters.
Wear. Share. Care.
